Kyla contacted me about a month ago to set up a cake smash session for her adorable daughter Daphne who was going to be turning 1 soon, and she wanted to get some awesome pictures. When I met Daphne I knew this session was going to be just amazing, she is so bubbly and smily and full of light! Kyla and I discussed that she wanted to do (what I like to call ) a smash & bath. The baby gets all messy with the cake and then you take pictures of the clean up. 

For the set I actually used the lemonade stand that my boyfriend had made me (see previous post), and used the top of it us the floor, and what is usually the front and the backdrop. I think it worked out great! So well in fact, Bradley saw the pictures and wants to make me another one that is similar just for cake smashes! woot!

At first Daphne was a little shy about digging into the polka dot cake, and just when we thought she was done she decided to tear into it. She made such a cute cake monster!!
