Besides being busy during the Holidays I like to wait to do family session blogs till after the new year so I don’t spoil anyones Christmas or New Years cards. This session with the Quinata family was actually taken around October last year. Coyote Creek Trail, one of my favorite locations, had beautiful tall grass and warm golden hour light. I photographed this family a few times over the past couple years, and I love seeing the girl grow up. Didn’t mom do an amazing job coordinating everyone! I love the purple colors against the warm fall setting.
One of the things I like to do during sessions is to make sure mom and dad get a photo together too. Just the 2 of them. A lot of times, the last time they have had a professional photo was at their wedding. Not only is it special for them to have a photo of themselves, but one day when there children are grown up it’ll be nice to have a photo of mom and dad together.

What a super cute family! Love the colors they chose to wear and Coyote Creek Trail looks like it was the perfect location for their session! Great variety!
Such a beautiful family and portrait session! Mom did do an amazing job of coordinating the outfits, and I am loving those colors against the fall trees. I have a hard time keeping sessions under wraps for holiday reasons too, but I am sure this family used most of these portraits for gifts this year, so it was good that you kept the secret!

Ah! I LOVE the idea of mom and dad getting an image of just them! It is so rare for parents to have their own shots. Kids are important and you want those memories but they are important too! Awesome images at this family session!
