I have a weird question… What’s your favorite day of the month? I’m sure most people would say payday, or maybe the first weekend, but mine is every second Tuesday. Yep, unassuming little Tuesdays that’s not as dreaded as Monday and not even close to being able to be excited for the weekend yet. The reason I love the second Tuesday is because it’s our Tuesdays Together meeting-where a group of incredible and amazing creatives gather and share their experience, knowledge, and encouragement with each other to lift everyone up.
This month’s group meeting topic was Budgeting and Financial Freedom-hoofta it was a dense topic! We started out the meeting with a fun ice breaker since we had some new faces. We got into group and had to make a short list of things everyone in the group had in common. P.S. we have a LOT of dog lovers in the group! After Paul lead the discussion about budgeting and everyone was so open to share things that work for them, and road blocks they’ve come across too.
When you own your own business it can really be a struggle to be all things…be a creative, be a book keeper, be an accountant, be a manager, be a social media guru. So many time we have all these balls in the air a few are bound to fall. One thing I’ve learned is that most of the time you won’t be able to juggle it all (and bless those who do manage!). The important thing is when you do drop a ball, pick it up and keep trying-everything stays in the air for at least a little while!! That’s what Tuesday’s Together is for me. It’s a reminder to pick things up that I’ve let fall aside. It’s a safe place to sound off new ideas, and it and incredible feeling to come together every month and surround yourself with people who are dreaming the same dreams.
A huge shout-out goes to Cookie Jackson owner of Cookie Jackson Photography. She opened up her studio for us all to come together! Also a big thank you to Adrian Jimenez at Blue Aces Bake Shoppe for bringing all the amazing yummies!

LOVE this! My favorite day of the month too!
Love this! And, I agree with you.. it’s such a great reminder to pick up things we’ve let fall aside. For me, having a day job still, and being a wife and mom,.. some days things just fall aside and it takes a little while to remember to pick them up 🙂
I love being apart of this community and hearing everyones dreams and stories! Thank you for all that you do for our group, and for being such a sweet person!
I love that you get together with other local creatives once a month! What a great idea and it looks like a lot of fun!
I love this concept and it looks like you have quite a large amount of people that come together in this group. It shows that creatives can be social with one another, even if they may be in direct competition. I really loved reading this post about your Monterey Tuesdays Together!
I just love this idea! Shows community over competition and I am sure you learned a ton! Setting a date every month is huge for accomplishing goals I would love to start something like this!
What a fun and unique group of like minded business owners you have! I’ve started attending monthly seminars with a local group of photographers and it’s great to talk and bounce ideas off each other.
