I don’t know what it is, but I love me a parent image in black and white..swoon! Maybe because I think it’s timeless, and everything gets stripped away but the emotion. It’s such a beautiful connection between parent and baby and even the parents to each other. I know I talk about home much your life changes when you welcome a baby into the world- about how you feel and how that baby will feel looking back on these images. But I think something I don’t mention enough is how it changes the bond with your partner too. You have both taken on a new role as a parent individually and together as a unit. I’ll ask mom and dad to look at each other when they are holding their newborn baby, and sometimes you can see on their faces that moment when they realize this is their first family photo, and how much love they are surrounded by in that moment. I’ll leave you with that warm and fuzzy thought and these images of beautiful Olivia and her parents.
