As a newborn photographer it’s pretty safe to say I love babies-all of them, even the skinny bald little nuggets that look like little old men make my heart melt. This is all a given…but you say puppy and I lose my mind-like my heart cannot handle it, and from the overwhelming reaction to my Insta stories when we did this shoot, I’d say a lot of you are with me.
Rachel got Olive as a birthday present from her fiancé (he’s a winner right?!?!?), and everyone who has seen her has instantly fallen in love. I texted her and asked if she wanted a newborn puppy shoot, and she thought it was an amazing idea and was totally down.
I mean does it get any better? I get to photograph this adorably little French bulldog puppy and get puppy snuggles. My heart was full all day.
If anyone else wants to bring me their puppy to do newborn photographs, I’m here-just sayin’.
Rachel is also an amazing photographer you can check her out here.
And yes Olive has her own Instagram @olivethefrenchiepup

[…] Some French Bulldog owners take their puppy love a little further than others, and this is why one lucky pup got to take part in their own newborn photoshoot. Californian photographer Brenden Boggs was the woman who made the magic happen. After all, why should newborn puppies be celebrated any less than newborn humans? Boggs proposed the photoshoot idea to her friend Rachel Zee on hearing that she’d recently adopted a new puppy. Olive, the star of the show, even has her own Instagram account now. You can find photos from the shoot on Brenden’s website. […]
