Organizing & the Spring Clean- Morgan Hill Newborn Photographer

I’ve been planning to do some “spring”… I mean summer cleaning for the past two months or so. I desperately needed to find space from my growing prop, basket, and blanket collection. Right now everything has to go in and out of storage, but with our storage unit having  inconvenient hours I end up scheduling my day around them. But with work, and photo sessions, and editing, cleaning has fallen to the back burner. So today was my day!

First thing was to try to organize my closet and get rid of things I don’t wear and do something about the two totes of shoes I had. Now anyone who knows me knows I have huge feet! I wear a woman’s size 12. So I get a little obsessed with shoes because it is impossible to find them! Which also makes it harder to part with them 🙁 the rub is though since they are just thrown into totes I can never get to any of them to wear anyways!

Now back in the day I remember trying to organize what my mother would lovingly call my “motor boats” and all the door organizers wouldn’t even hold one shoes because they were so big. But I thought I’d give it another try. After some googling, I thought I’d venture off to Target to see what they had, especially with all the back to school stuff I thought they might have a deal. And I found the most amazing shoe organizers ever!!! And they were cheap!

I was still worried when I got home that my colossal shoes wouldn’t fit, but at that price I should at least try. I pulled them out of the packaging and the “shelves” Velcro around you closet rod, and they are pretty strong. And to my surprise and delight THEY FIT. No more tote of shoes! Now I can actually see what I have, and it doesn’t take up floor space.
I just thought I’d share my amazing find.
