So most of the time my father really has no interest in my newborn photography business. I don’t mean that in a negative way at all, but ya know he all rough and tumble biker dude. Cute sweet babies aren’t really his thing, but he is still super supportive any way he can be in my success. A few months ago he called me and asked if I had heard of the Monterey Mommy and Me Fair. Of course I hadn’t and was stoked he told me about it! He said they had been advertising on the radio and it would be a great idea for me to go. Go? I want to be a vendor!!

I immediately googled and found the website and realized the vendor application date had been a month past. I talked to Bradley about it cause I was so excited and we decided I should try anyways. Off I sent my application and waited for a reply. The coordinator got back to me and told me that she had her quota of photographers for the event. I was heartbroken, but knew I could try again next year. Luckily, a few months later I got another email that they were opening up e few more vendor spots. I was ecstatic! I didn’t have much time to get everything together. I’m not going to lie-I panicked! Bradley calmed me down and we planned what prints I would order and the frames he would make in order to display my work. He was amazing and my knight in shining…wood working 😉

I knew I was going to need help talking to moms and handing out information. One name came to mind-Melissa. She is completely amazing and I knew if traffic was slow we would at least have fun together. She was such a help. I couldn’t have done it without her. She owns he own person assistant business TaskKeepers.com so who would have been better!

The Monterey Mommy and Me Baby Fair was great. I met so many amazing moms, and other vendors. I got a lot of amazing feedback and by the end of the day my cup was overflowing with positivity and I felt amazing. It was one if those reaffirming moments where I knew I was doing what I was intended to do.
